Embroidered Softshell Jackets for Your Business: What You Need to Know
Last reviewed: 17 August 2026 · Written and reviewed by the Xcel Print & Promotions team
Never ordered embroidered softshell jackets before? You’ll have questions. How much does it cost? Will my logo actually look right? How long does it take? We’ll answer all of that below. No jargon. Just straight talk from people who do this every day.
Why Embroidery Works So Well on Softshell Jackets
It Looks Premium
Embroidery has a feel to it that printing can’t touch. That slightly raised texture catches the light and gives a finish that looks and feels high-end. Small thing. Big difference to how professional your team comes across.
It’s Versatile
We can stitch logos, names, job titles, even small icons and designs. The usual spots are left chest, right chest, sleeve and back. Most designs up to around 15,000 stitches come out beautifully, which covers everything from a line of text to a detailed company logo.
It Lasts
Printing cracks, peels and fades. Embroidery doesn’t, because it’s stitched straight into the fabric. It’s there for good. We’ve seen embroidered logos still looking sharp after hundreds of washes. That’s not sales talk. It genuinely is that tough.

From Order to Delivery
We’ve made this about as painless as it gets. Choose your garments, send over your artwork (any format’s fine, we can work with pretty much anything), and we’ll make you a digital mockup to approve. Happy with it? We crack on. The whole thing runs about 5-7 working days from approval to delivery. Got a deadline? Tell us and we’ll see what we can do to speed it up.
Embroidery or Printing?
Both have their place. Embroidery wins on durability and that premium feel, and it’s our top pick for softshell jackets with a chest logo. Printing’s the better call for big designs, full-colour artwork, or hi-vis garments where embroidery isn’t practical. On the fence? Ask us. We’ll tell you straight.
Your Questions, Answered
How long do embroidered Softshell Jackets take?
5-7 working days from proof approval is the norm. We can sometimes turn urgent orders round quicker, so give us a ring to talk it through.
Is there a minimum order for embroidered Softshell Jackets?
No minimum. Order a single embroidered jacket if that’s all you need. Bigger orders get you better per-unit pricing, mind.
What logo file format do you need?
Pretty much anything works: PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) give the sharpest results. If all you’ve got is a low-res file, we can usually redraw it for a small setup charge.
Can you embroider names as well as logos?
Yes. Individual names, job titles, department names, whatever you need. And we can put your logo and personalised text together on the same garment.
