If you’ve bought workwear before, you’ll have seen codes like UC101 and UC502 used as though everyone already knows what they mean. They’re Uneek style numbers, and once you know the handful that matter, kitting out a team gets much simpler. We’ve embroidered garments from the full Uneek Clothing range at our Haverhill workshop for years, so we have a fair idea of which codes get reordered and which ones sit in the catalogue.

Uneek is a UK brand with decades in the corporate and workwear market, and its reputation rests on value. These aren’t fashion garments. They’re made to be bought in bulk, badged with a logo and worn hard, week in, week out. Below are the codes that come up in our orders again and again.

UC101: The Polo Nearly Every Order Starts With

The UC101 is Uneek’s classic polo shirt and comfortably the bestseller, for them and for us. It’s a hard wearing polycotton polo that keeps its shape through repeated hot washes, which is exactly what you want when the same five shirts are doing a full working week.

From an embroidery point of view it’s an easy garment. The pique knit gives the needle something to bite into, so left chest logos come out clean and stay put. The colour range is genuinely deep too. Plenty of brands give you eight or ten options; the UC101 covers the obvious corporate colours plus the awkward ones customers ask for, like bottle green and purple.

Sizing runs generous. If someone’s between sizes, we usually say take the smaller one. Trade customers kitting out new starters tend to reorder the same colours year after year, and the UC101 is the code they quote from memory. If you want to compare it against other options, our polo shirts section has the wider field.

UC203 and UC502: The Sweatshirt and Hoodie Workhorses

The UC203 sweatshirt is the quiet one. It rarely gets asked for by name, yet it turns up in a huge share of uniform orders because it layers over the UC101 in a matching colour and takes the same logo. The face is smooth, so embroidery sits flat and reads well even at smaller sizes.

The UC502 hoodie is the one younger teams ask for. Trades, valeting firms, grassroots sports clubs, anywhere the kit needs to look like something people would choose to wear off shift. Hoods and pockets don’t get in the way of a standard left chest logo, and larger back designs work well on it too.

Both wash well, which matters more than people think. A work uniform only looks smart if it still looks smart in month six, and these two are among the garments we hear the fewest complaints about.

UC504 and UC604: Fleece and softshell for Outdoor Work

The UC504 fleece is the value outdoor layer. It’s warm, light and priced so you can buy one per van and not lose sleep when they wander off. One honest note from the embroidery side: fleece has a pile, so fine text can sink into it. Bold logos come out fine; delicate ones benefit from being sized up a touch. We’ll flag it before we stitch if we think your artwork will struggle.

The UC604 softshell is the smarter option and the one supervisors usually pick for themselves. The smooth outer face takes embroidery crisply, it cuts the wind, and it looks tidy enough for a site meeting. For crews outdoors most of the day, we’d suggest the fleece for the many and the softshell for anyone customer facing. Both sit alongside the rest of our workers’ clothing if you’re building a full outdoor kit list.

Plain or Embroidered: Which Way to Buy

Plenty of customers buy Uneek plain, and that’s a perfectly good use of the range. If you just need solid kit at a fair price, order it blank and it ships quickly.

That said, most of our Uneek orders go out embroidered, and the sums favour it more than people expect:

  • Logo digitising is free, so there’s no setup fee to swallow before your first garment.
  • There’s no minimum order. One embroidered polo is a real order, not a favour.
  • Delivery is £5.95 plus VAT, and free once your order passes £99 ex VAT.

The one thing to plan around is time. Lead times for customised items are 7-10 working days and vary with demand. Plain stock ships faster. We don’t offer an express service, so if the kit’s needed for a set date, order early rather than hoping.

Personalisation is embroidery and printing. As a rough rule, embroidery suits polos, sweatshirts, fleeces and softshells, while printing earns its place on larger back designs and bigger event runs. Send us what you have and we’ll advise.

Uneek UC Codes: Quick Questions

What does the UC number on Uneek clothing mean?

It’s simply Uneek’s style code, a shorthand for one specific garment. UC101 always means the classic polo, UC502 always means the hoodie, and so on. Quoting the code when you order removes any guesswork about which product you’re after.

Is there a minimum order for embroidered Uneek clothing?

No. We’ll embroider a single garment if that’s what you need, and logo digitising is free either way. Most teams start with a small mixed order to check sizing and colours, then reorder in bulk once they’re happy.

What artwork do you need for embroidery?

A vector file is ideal (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF). If you don’t have one, a sharp PNG at 1000px or larger usually works. If the file you have isn’t up to the job, we’ll tell you straight and ask for a better version rather than stitching a logo you won’t be proud of.
